These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Vista Sign(“we”, “us”, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Vista Sign is a location intelligence platform that provides Vista Scores, factor breakdowns, maps, comparisons, reports, and related tools to help users evaluate locations for commercial signage placement in Canada. The Service is provided on an as-is, best-effort basis.
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You agree not to:
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review in good faith.
Vista Scores are derived from public data sources including Statistics Canada 2021 Census, OpenStreetMap, and municipal open data. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranty that scores, maps, or recommendations reflect real-world conditions at the time of query. Sign placement decisions involve factors outside our dataset (municipal permits, zoning bylaws, landlord approvals, ground conditions) that are your responsibility to verify.
Vista Sign is a decision-support tool, not a substitute for professional advice from a licensed sign contractor, surveyor, or municipal permit office.
The Service, including its software, design, Vista Score methodology, and reports, is owned by Vista Sign and its licensors. You may use outputs (scores, reports, maps) for your own business purposes, including presenting them to clients, but you may not republish them as a standalone data product.
Source data retains its original licenses: Statistics Canada data is provided under the Statistics Canada Open Licence; OpenStreetMap data is provided under the ODbL. Attribution to OpenStreetMap contributors is required when reproducing map-derived content.
You retain ownership of projects, saved locations, quote requests, and other content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or change pricing with reasonable notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vista Sign and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that remain inactive for extended periods. Upon termination, your access ends immediately; paid plans are not refunded on a pro-rata basis.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Your continued use after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
